Student Housing renovated the Cuarto Dining Commons, located in the Cuarto Area of the residence halls. The renovation brings platform dining to the Cuarto Area, while updating the Cuarto DC with state-of-the-art equipment and a new interior design.

Student Housing broke ground on the Cuarto DC renovation during spring quarter 2009, and reopened the DC for fall quarter 2010.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®)

The Cuarto Dining Commons is LEED Gold certified under the LEED for Commercial Interiors Rating System.

The LEED green building certification program promotes a whole building sustainability approach by recognizing performance in five areas: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
