Student Housing partners with privatized (privately-owned and operated) apartment complexes on the UC Davis campus and in the Davis community to create a Student Housing-based student experience known as Student Housing Apartments (SHA).
Six apartment communities combine with Student Housing academic, computer, and transition resources to make up the Student Housing Apartments (SHA) program.
Three apartment communities are located directly on the UC Davis campus, a fourth community is located a mile east of central campus, a fifth community is two miles west of central campus, and the sixth community is two miles north-west of campus. The Student Housing resources are all located on campus: Segundo in the northwest corner of campus, Tercero in the southwest corner, and Cuarto another block west of Segundo.
Also, residents with Aggie Cash can use it to purchase drinks, snacks and more in any of the three residence hall convenience stores (one in each residence hall area), as well as many other locations on campus.
SHA offers the following services: Academic Advising, Peer Advising, and access to computer centers. To use these services, SHA residents may go to any of the three residence hall areas. Students with issues accessing the Academic Advising Centers and Computer Centers should go to the Segundo Services Desk located in the Segundo Services Center. The Segundo Services Desk can assist with access issues and student ID and meal card issues as well as provide desk lamp light bulbs when necessary.
