Tercero Phase Three

Student Housing opened "Tercero Phase 3" (TP3) in fall quarter 2014. TP3 adds seven new buildings that house 1200 students to the Tercero residence hall area. TP3 is located at the site previously occupied by Pierce Hall and Thille Hall (buildings A-M).

Phase 3 is comprised of 7 buildings grouped around two quads, and has a combined gross square footage of approx. 320,000. In addition to housing approximately 1,200 residents, this complex also contains a fully equipped lecture hall and several staff offices.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®)

Tercero Phase 3 is LEED Platinum certified under the LEED-Building Design and Construction rating system, formerly known as New Construction and Major Renovations. Specifically, Tercero Phase 3, which includes Currant Hall, earned Group Certification, meaning all seven Phase 3 buildings collectively earned one certification.

The LEED green building certification program promotes a whole building sustainability approach by recognizing performance in five areas: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
