Residential Education Mission Statement

TO FACILITATE STUDENTS' TRANSITION INTO UNIVERSITY LIFE,
including the development of social relationships by providing the following:

  • Live-in staff to offer support and information about resources
  • Fall Welcome Week activities/resources
  • Staff who assist students in getting to know others
  • Involvement from students in planning social events
  • Space available for social interactions and programs
  • Contact with campus services

 

TO SUPPORT THE ACADEMIC MISSION OF UC DAVIS
by providing the following:

  • Access to computers and training
  • Contact with faculty
  • Access to academic advising and tutoring
  • Study skills programs
  • Study facilities
  • Quiet policies
  • Study groups

 

TO PROMOTE RESPONSIBLE CITIZENSHIP
according to the following:

  • Facilitate student's individual development through
    • Educational Program
    • Contact with professional & student staff
    • Referral to campus resources
    • A developmental conduct process
  • Promote the active and responsible participation of students in their community through
