  • Washer: $1.50 per load
  • Dryer: $1.50 per load

Paying for Laundry

Washing and drying laundry may be paid for with a debit or credit card issued by VISA, Master Card, American Express and Discover Card.

Debit cards may be purchased from local retailers.

In the residence halls:

We upgraded our residence halls laundry room equipment in January 2025. One of the primary reasons is to address existing laundry cards and apps that employ 3G cellular technology that is becoming obsolete.

Transferring Your App Balance

If you have value left on your old app or laundry card, download the new CSCPay mobile app, create your account, and send an email to cscpayvalue@cscsw.com with the following information:

  • Account Name: University of California at Davis
  • Email address listed on existing CSCGo account
  • Email address used to create new CSCPay Mobile account
  • Screenshot of existing CSCGo account balance

Your past account balance will be verified and moved to your new CSCPay mobile account.

Laundry Detergent

The laundry company who provides our washers and dryers recommends using HE liquid soap or soap pods in the washers. Please follow the instructions on the washers and do not exceed the suggested amount of detergent. Excess soap will cause the machines to leak and run down the front of the washers.

Washer and Dryer Malfunctions

Residents should report malfunctions to the vendor. Reports may be sent using their mobile app, by telephone (800-762-3452) or through the CSC ServiceWorks website. CSC ServiceWorks Posters (pdf), which also have their contact information, are posted in the laundry rooms.
