Unsupported Operating Systems

Unsupported operating systems represents a significant security risk. To mitigate this risk, UC Davis does not allow computers running unsupported operating systems to access campus networks, including Resnet and moobilenetx, or to log in to campus systems.

Computer users running unsupported operating systems should upgrade their operating system as soon as possible to protect themselves and to access UC Davis networks and applications.

Mac OS X (macOS) 10.12 and earlier

Windows 8/8.1

After 9 years, support for Windows 8.1 ended on January 10, 2023.

Windows 7

After 10 years, support for Windows 7 ended on January 14, 2020.

Windows XP

After 12 years, support for Windows XP ended April 8, 2014.
