Meet Savannah

Savannah Marie Ramirez worked at Latitude Restaurant and Market as a Guest Services Supervisor for 3 years of her undergrad and just graduated with a degree in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior. She says that the thing she loved most about her job was the environment within Latitude, and that the most important lessons she learned were teamwork and the ability to problem solve quickly when under pressure. “Everyone is so welcoming and friendly, and it really made my time there so enjoyable and fun!” she says. Her favorite memory was decorating and working at Latitude’s 5th birthday celebration, and her favorite foods at Latitude are the Andino Bowl and Chile Relleno. Looking towards the future, she plans to get a job as a medical technician, so she can accumulate clinical hours and apply for PA school in a year.

Meet Evelyn

Evelyn Avelar worked as a Guest Services Supervisor for almost 4 years at Latitude Market and Restaurant, and just graduated with a degree in Communications. “The thing I love most about Latitude is the people,” she says. “It was like having a home away from home, and I consider the people that I worked with my friends.” Some important lessons she learned during her time there were to never stop learning and how to adapt to different environments and situations quickly. Her favorite memory at work was when Evelyn and a coworker brainstormed smoothie recipes, testing out ingredients and getting input from the managers and chefs. One of them, which they called Mango Fiesta, even got put on the menu! Her favorite foods at Latitude are the Cubano Sandwiches, Ceviche de Camaron and Swedish Meatballs. Looking toward the future, she will work as an area manager at Amazon.
